FRENCH PLEAT CURTAIN EXPLANATION VIDEO 

Luxury 10" French pleat curtains, lined and interlined. Made in silver matt satin fabric with wide woven braid on centres. This fabric has a lovely lustre and soft satin sheen. It drapes so well, making this curtains look so luxurious. The wide woven braid add depth and the deeper tones of the braid highlight the silver and charcoal grey tones. These curtains are made with 1.5 widths fabric each side for maximum fullness.

The 10" French pleat give an elegant appearance to these curtains will sit well in a modern or traditional room, depending on the fabric and colours. They are lined and interlined and like all our curtains have hand sewn hems, the sides are hand sewn and the triple pleats at the top are hand sewn to ensure the pleats don't fan open over time. The interlining is bagged out with the fabric which gives a fuller hem and means the curtains hug the floor better. Some curtains are made with bonded lining but this is a stiffer lining and doesn't hang as well so losing the lovely drape of the fabric. Other curtains leave the interlining loose from the fabric on the hem,  again this lessens the effectiveness of the drape and the luxury look is lost. All our soft furnishing and window dressings are made in our own workroom by a team of skilled crafts people.
